Ruby was initially released on 1995 by a Japanese Programmer who got tired of the old-style complicated languages that were currently in use during the time. To this day, ROR continues to evolve as a dynamic language for it is open sourced and available to the public for personal use. Commercial use of the program falls under a dual license which can be free and open sourced form and a separate Ruby license. In the next posts we would try to discuss further some of the basic distinctions of Ruby from Perl and Python and then jump right into the action with programming tips and tricks along with sources of cool tools and other utilities to make the experience more pleasurable as we get to realize they true ease of it�s use.
